"Wishes are worthless unless we wake up & work at them."

Hope this edition of the Fitness & Conditioning Newsletter Courtesy of S.P.A.R.K.S Conditioning finds you so very well.

This is a concept that has been very obvious in my life over the last few weeks. Many times we, myself most certainly included, wish for an outcome & wish for it to come quickly but the reality is that these desires & goals we have take time to achieve - if they didn't they wouldn't be very effective goals now would they?!

Each day we've got to take steps towards creating the habits needed to make our wish, our dream a reality. Want the body you desire & deserve? Well put down that (insert junk food name here), put away whatever excuse you have used or are about to use (ie not enough time, energy, motivation etc...) and get to building that wish of yours step by step.

Here's a workout to try. Complete it every other day for the rest of the week, starting today! Give yourself the ability to succeed.

You'll need to set a timer to beep every 30seconds.
Complete as many reps of each exercise as you can in 30 seconds. At the end of round one write down all your numbers. Rest 90 seconds & repeat the same circuit.
Complete 2-8 rounds.
How'd you do?!
Good. Now aim to beat those numbers (each round & total) next workout... Maybe even add a set?!
Note: Beginners start with the low rep range while you advanced people should start at 4 or 5 sets.
Let's go!
1. Push ups
2. Burpee's
3. Crunches (squeeze on each rep, don't just roll!)
4. Jump squats (or squats in a pain free range of motion).
5. 30second abdominal plank (did you make it?!)
90 seconds. Grab a sip, record your numbers and wait for that beep to get going again!

My Way...


I stand on the colossal shoulders of the mistakes I've made, the lessons I've learned and the dreams I'm determined to make a reality. I apologize for the hurt I've caused to any but I don't take the blame for the hurt you've caused yourself. I refuse to settle, refuse to quit & refuse to use the words "I tried" as a pacifier in accepting defeat. I will continue to grow, continue to create & continue in the passionate pursuit of being love, and honing my craft. Perfection is not attainable & its pursuit brings little joy. Instead I will pursue consistent excellence in all I deem vital to the fulfillment of my purpose.
This is my Tao.

"It's simple, not easy."

This is the theme for the rest of the year for me, not to mention the title of... Well more about that at another time.
I'm blessed to receive many letters and questions from people asking for my help in getting the body they desire and deserve. Sometimes when I reply to folks in person I can see a sort of let down in there eye's before they utter some version of "that's it?"
It seems that many of us are hoping for a magic pill that will help us reap the benefits we see the success of others.

I'm going to be honest with you. There is a magic formula for turning where you are at to where you desire to be:
execution. Consistent execution.
No matter what exercise plan you get on, no matter how scientific it is. No matter how intense it looks on paper, without execution your body won't change.
And not just once. Regularly. Habitually.
This is the secret. Sorry if I disappointed you but now you're free to make it happen!

This week's body weight circuit is a simple one, again:
Burpee's!
Complete as many as you can in 1 min, rest for 1 min.
Did you get more than last week? If you didn't you've still got a few rounds to go, beat your last week totals! Go for it!

Complete 3-6 sets, 3 times this week recording the number of burpee's you get each time. Then aim to beat your round & total numbers for the next workout!
